The top cuvee of the estate is the 2013 Limoux Domaine de Baron'Arques, and it's outstanding in 2013. Medium-bodied, fresh and lively, with a layered textured, it offers terrific notes of cassis, damp earth, licorice and a touch of minerality on nose. Made from 53% Merlot, 23% Cabernet Franc and the balance Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Malbec, it should keep nicely through 2022.

Peppercorn, red berry and black plum notes mark this supple red. Fresh acidity and easy tannins add nice support, with bitter herb and zesty accents marking the moderate finish. Drink now. 5,000 cases made.-GS
