An elegant, pure, stylish wine from proprietor Pascal Chatonnet, the 2000 l'Archange exhibits a deep saturated purple color, with a sweet nose of black cherries and blackberries. It is sweet, rich, medium to full-bodied, with low acidity, and plush, concentrated fruit flavors. The wine reveals some tannin, but it is largely obscured by the impressive ripeness and fleshy style. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2014.

A vivid young red, with lots of berry, tar and spice character. Full-bodied and chewy, ripe tannins and a long flavorful finish. This has stuffing. A new winery to watch from Pascal Chatonnet. Best after 2008. 450 cases made. –JS

Wunderbar gereift. Leichte Erd-Trüffelnoten und noch etwas Restfrucht. Aut Top-Nivea.
